Hi! I’m a Red Panda, a small, tree-dwelling mammal with reddish-brown fur and a bushy tail. People love me for my adorable face and unique look, like a mix between a raccoon and a fox. Unlike giant pandas, I munch mostly on bamboo!
Habitat
I live in the cool, high forests of the Himalayas, in countries like Nepal, Bhutan, and parts of China and India.
Animals still existing
There are fewer than 10,000 of us left in the wild.
Why am I in trouble?
I’m endangered because my forest home is being cut down for farming, and people are also hunting me for my fur.
